Costa Rica – 6th to 16th October 2017
Things to tick off our rhetorical bucket list:
- Caught a local Costa Rica bus over to the Caribbean side of the country
- Bought mackerel from a local fisherman off the back of his boat
- Slept and rested in a hammock
- Watched leaf cutter ants marching
- Swam in the Caribbean Sea
- Saw a wild White-throated Capuchin monkey, a raccoon and a three-toed sloth
- Met new friends Kieran from Canada and Heather from Australia
- Went snorkelling and saw a reef shark and a sting-ray
- Duck-dived using our snorkels
- Saw brain and finger coral
- Waited for one whole hour for our meal to be delivered without complaint
- Ate rice and beans
- Cycled a fixed-wheel bike on a really stony road
- Saw a hornets nest
- Danced to a Reggae band
