Bristol to Toronto

It’s been a long time coming but finally it’s here – we’re off on our adventure. Not sure whether to be scared or excited!

Leg 1: Flight from Bristol to Dublin was a little late leaving. We arrived about 10.45pm.  Spent an uncomfortable night sleeping on the floor, a diner chair and finally a soft bench seat.

We managed about 3 hours each and were rewarded for our efforts with a beautiful sunrise.

Leg 2: Flight from Dublin to St Johns, New Foundland.  We had to collect our luggage and re-check it in by which point Jacqui had lost her boarding pass – what a numpty.  Spent all our free time getting a replacement only to find it later on at the bottom of her bag.

Leg 3: Flight St Johns to Toronto.  Arrived tired having traveled for 26 hours.  Found the bus stop where the bus driver allowed us to travel for free to the car rental depot [no cash accepted – only pre-paid cards].  Picked up our small car [a Fiat 500] and set off for our first night in Hamilton and this is where the fun really began…
